Change can happen in blink of an eye. A decision, made in a single moment, can significantly alter your life. Are you aware, that each and ever day, we are given 86,400 opportunities to make small and seemingly insignificant choices? Knowing that each moment hold within it an opportunity for us to make a conscious decision that could drastically change the results we experience in our lives is quite amazing. Whether it’s a decision to leave a bad situation or to take a risk in a new venture, decisions are made each and every day. Do we realize how quickly things can change by simply making a decision and committing to it?
April 18, 2017 marks my 1 year work anniversary at Kalibrr Technology Ventures. My entire sales team, now over 2x the size when I first started, celebrated with me by giving me homemade lemon pie and a spas day gift card for my wife and I. Such a thoughtful and heartfelt gesture. My team rocks!
I still cannot believe how quickly a single year has gone by. So much can happen in a year! It was merely 365 days ago when I made the decision start a new chapter in my professional career. I had no idea what the following 31,536,000 seconds would have in store for me, but looking back, it was 52 weeks filled with moments of uncertainty, fulfillment, unpredictability and victory!
As I take a glance back at the last 8,760 hours, I may not remember every single minute of every single day. However, one thing is for sure, I have been stretched once again and I have grown to become a wiser, more patient, and predictable professional. I have spent a considerable amount of time becoming more aware of ways to improve my personal effectiveness and productivity in all that I do. Most recently, a friend shared a book with me by Darren Hardy, publisher of Success magazine, called The Compound Effect. The Compound Effect is based on the principle that decisions shape your destiny. Little, everyday decisions will either take you to the life you desire or to disaster by default. I highly recommend picking up this book!
Truly, so much can happen in a year! The things we have accomplished are historical in the eyes of the company and it’s good to know that we have come this far in such a short period of time. My next 52 weeks, will certainly have its share of ups and downs as I approach a new set of business challenges. The journey will not come easy, this we can accept, the task-at-hand can only be accomplished through hard work and dedication. I am blessed to know that we have built a great foundation for a productive and results-driven culture. Our leadership and each individual team member contributes to the overall success of the Kalibrr Solutions (KSOL) team.
It’s a pleasure to lead such a dedicated group. Their commitment to be their very best each and every day is the reason why we succeed. Here’s to the next 525,600 minutes! So much can happen in a year and we are witnessing history in the making!
